A HAIRDRESSERS in Malvern has explained rumours of a “male escort agency” opening at the site as a hoax and a prank.
Posters have been spotted in the windows of Studio K in Richmond Road and were shared on the Malvern Noticeboard Facebook page.
The posters included photos of topless men and others along with a banner saying “male escort agency coming soon” however the owner of Studio K has said it is “definitely a hoax” and they hope to re-open soon.
Owner Kylie Cottrell said the prank was pulled off by a friend, adding they would be re-opening as a hairdressers when it is safe to do so.
Under the government’s ‘rebuild’ Covid-19 recovery strategy, ‘personal care’ shops such as barbers and hairdressers could be allowed to trade again from July 4, if businesses can meet coronavirus safety guidelines.
