BURGLARS have smashed the front door of a chip shop in Kidderminster.
Captain Cod's Fish Bar in Comberton Hill was broken into overnight on Wednesday (May 27).
The burglars forced entry into the chip shop by smashing a glass panel in the front door of the premises.
Police say the offenders then searched the shop for food and stole a tablet device from inside the property, before making their escape.
Officers are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.
A spokesman for West Mercia Police said: "Persons unknown have forced entry into Captain Cod in Comberton Hill, Kidderminster by smashing a glass panel in the front door.
"Persons unknown have then looked around for food and also stolen a tablet device before making their escape.
"This occurred overnight between May 27 and May 28.
