FIREWORKS were thrown at Redditch Police Station over the weekend - and an investigation is currently underway.

Chief Inspector for North Worcestershire Ed Hancox said he was "very upset" after the police station was targeted on Saturday (June 20) and described it as a 'despicable act'.

Fireworks were launched at a police vehicle parked in Redditch Police Station on the evening.

The following day fireworks were again reportedly thrown at the police station on Sunday June 21.

Police confirmed no damage was caused and there were no injuries.

At this time no suspects have been identified but an investigation is ongoing.
