TRAFFIC on the M5 is queueing for several miles after a lorry caught fire.

Two lanes were closed with traffic queueing for five miles due to the fire on the M5 Northbound at J7 A44 (Worcester / Evesham).

One lane has since re-opened though traffic is still queueing due to recovery work.

The incident is also causing congestion to surrounding routes including the A38 at kempsey and Three Springs Road at Pershore.

A photo on social media shows that the fire has been put out, but is still smouldering.

There are two fire engines on the scene.
