A MAN has found dead after concerns had been raised about his welfare.

Ambulance and police crews were called to Church Road in Droitwich on Monday (August 3) after concern had been raised about a man’s welfare earlier in the morning.

Police were initially contacted at 8.40am raising concerns for the man, who was in his 60s.

His body was discovered two hours later at 10.51am.

The ambulance service was called by the police when the body was found.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said they sent the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham, two land ambulances, two paramedic officers and the Midlands Air Ambulance critical care car to the scene.

A spokesman for the ambulance service said: “We were called by police at 10.51am by police to Church Road in Droitwich to concern for a patient’s welfare.

“When crews arrived, they found one patient, a man. Unfortunately, nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene.”

West Mercia Police also attended the incident and said they were called earlier in the morning.

A spokesman for the force said: “We were called to concerns for the welfare of a man from Droitwich at around 8.40 this morning.

“The man was located on a lane near St Augustine’s Church.

“Sadly he was pronounced deceased. His death is not being treated as suspicious.”
