PUPILS at a Pershore school raised hundreds of pounds for a charity helping current and former soldiers.
In November last year Help for Heroes coordinator for Worcestershire Ian Baldy visited Pershore High School to speak to youngsters about the work of the charity.
His visit inspired the youngsters to hold a non-uniform day in support of the organisation, which raised a massive £620.20.
Mr Baldry returned to the school recently, where he was handed the cash by head boy Xavier Mytton, and said: “This is a splendid achievement and we are most appreciative of the support that has been provided by the students and pupils of Pershore High School”.
