COMEDIENNE Doreen Tipton was dishing out the laughs at the official opening of a new Black Country eatery.
The Toby Carvery Burnt Tree Island in Dudley was relaunched on January 20 after a major refurbishment and Doreen was guest of honour.
Restaurant general manager, Gemma Hand, said: “We’re so pleased at how brilliant refurbished Toby Carvery Burnt Tree Island looks. We were also thrilled to have had Doreen come along and cut the ceremonial ribbon for us to mark our reopening.
“Doreen is very well known in the local community and is a true star of the Black Country. She gave a great speech which was just hilarious and really did make our reopening day very special for everyone involved.
“For many, the great British roast is the ultimate heart-warming food, and we just can’t wait to serve the people of Tipton a traditional dinner in our fresh surroundings. With our specially trained chefs, friendly and attentive team, and our warm and welcoming atmosphere, guests will find their new look Toby Carvery is the perfect place to get together and enjoy a delicious roast dinner.”
