Game of the day was in Division 1 where the two unbeaten sides went to head to head but it was Quinton Athletic who ran out 5-2 winners against Rubery Athletico including a brace for Jordan Murphy.
Quinton were always ahead in this game and even their goalkeeper making his debut, Mr Mccarthy, had the audacity to score direct from his hands some doing on a large pitch like Four Dwellings is.
In the other Division 1 match, Mostyn Rangers picked up their first league win, beating Meadow Park 4-2.
In Division 2, the only game saw Arrow Valley win 2-0 away at Coldstream in what was a feisty battle between the sides. Callum Towler and Dave Evans on the scoresheet.
In Division 3, Bvilly Block keep racking up the wins, today they beat Red Star Bromsgrove 4-1 whose promising start is fast becoming a faint memory. Crusaders and South West Alliance drew 1-1 in the local Rubery derby.
The League’s FA Cup got going today, the WA Harris Cup and congratulations to Redditch Borough LA, AFC Blackwell, Chaddesley Corbett and Bromsgrove Partisan who all won through to the next round. The draw for the second round is still taking shape with other first round matches to play.
In the Birmingham Premier Cup, Longbridge Social had a cracking 3-1 away win at Kidderminster Premier side Wombourne Pool Bar but not such good news for Real Norton in the amateur cup who failed to progress past Erdington United who ran out 6-1 winners.
