HALESOWEN councillors and the town's MP have wished Halesowen Town Football Club luck for tonight's crunch match.

The Yeltz will play Chasetown FC in the Northern Premier League play off semi-final at The Grove on Old Hawne Lane.

Belle Vale councillors Daniel Bevan and Peter Dobb wished the home side luck and warned there may be disruption on roads around the town.

If they win tonight's clash (Tuesday April 26) The Yeltz will be one match away from promotion.

They said: "This is a huge game for Halesowen and a win will see the team playing for a promotion spot.

"The game is expected to be one of the most well attended games for some time, so there will be a very large number of people around the town and The Grove this evening so please be aware that there may some some travel disruption.

"If you're attending and driving to the game, please use free parking available in the town and walk to the ground.

"We want people to support our local team, but please don't ruin it for people living nearby by parking over driveways, on double yellow lines or blocking pavements in the roads next to the ground.

"Good luck Halesowen Town Football Club #UpTheYeltz #FootballAtB63."

James Morris MP also wished the side luck.

He said: "Always enjoy getting to a match when I can and was fantastic to support the team a few weeks ago at a game.

"Unfortunately I cannot be there this evening, but would urge everyone to get behind them in playing for a promotion spot."

Belle Vale councillor Simon Phipps said: "The land next to the ground which is used occasionally for the funfair will also be open for parking to help ease pressure on local roads.

"Wishing the team all the best for this huge game!"

The match kicks off at 7.45pm.

Always enjoy getting to a match when I can and was fantastic to support the team a few weeks ago at a game.

Unfortunately I cannot be there this evening, but would urge everyone to get behind them in playing for a promotion spot.

I understand there are a number of remaining tickets for this fixture this evening and these will be available from 6.30pm from the middle turnstile on Old Hawne Lane.
