HOLDERS Dynamo Dudley remain firmly on course for a third successive NDT Midlands Lester Cup triumph as they eased their way into this season's quarter finals, writes Dave McLean.

Winners of the Beacon Sunday League's flagship competition for the past two seasons, Dynamo showed Black Country Rangers no mercy as they emerged comfortable 9-2 victors in a delayed second round tie.

Inflicting most damage was hat trick hero Joe Colley, supported by Luke McDonnell two, Shawn Devonport, Ben Hickman, Arron Dunn and Rhys Harper. Replying for Rangers were Ethan Cole and Tim Sherwood. This Sunday, Dynamo entertain Claregate Park Rangers in a last eight clash, the winners to take on Coseley based AFC Vale in the semi-finals.

In the Wilkes Tranter Chell Cup group matches, AFC Vale extended their good form with a well-earned 5-2 home win over Old Cross Athletic.

Vale made it two wins in four as Reece Dabbs and Adam Woodward fired doubles, with Sam Stevens making it a nap hand. The replies came from Connor Read and Jordan Anderson.

In the latest batch of Concentric Sales & Lettings Clinton Cup group games, Penn Rovers made it five straight victories with a 4-0 home success against Dudley based AFC Springfield, as Dan Nicholls (two), Callum Wight and Lewis Edwards found the net.

Norton Canes made it back to back wins in this competition, running out single goal winners in a closely fought clash at AFC Sporting with the all-important match winner from Reece Edwards.

In the remaining Clinton Cup fixture, Wyrley Juniors reserves celebrated their first win in four, coming from behind to inflict a first defeat on AFC Pensnett Panthers who had won their opening three group matches.

After a goalless first half, the Panthers broke the deadlock through Regan Wills, only for Wyrley to bounce back and end the former's unbeaten run with efforts from Luke Gibbons and super sub Kadeem Williams with a fine double.
