MANAGER John Snape lamented Worcester City's past two displays despite last night's rip-roaring comeback to draw 2-2 with Quorn.

Luke English levelled matters with an injury-time brace at the Victoria Ground to follow up Saturday's 3-2 victory at Wolverhampton Sporting Community.

The share of the spoils extended to eight matches City's unbeaten Midland Football League Premier Division run that had featured six wins on the bounce.

But Snape was not happy with the close shave.

“We were not very good,” he said.

“Quorn have some very experienced players in good positions. In fairness to us we were very light in the middle of the park due to injuries and unavailability.

“To be honest I got the shape wrong. We changed midway through the first half, got our bearings again and started the second half quite well.

“We missed a great chance from what was probably the move of the game and then switched off for the first goal.

"He had a free header in the six-yard box and the second was disappointing, we gave away too much time in the final third to get away a potshot.

“At 2-0 we looked dead and buried but the time wasting and a bit of a fracas seemed to spur us on. After that we went for it.

“I was delighted for Luke and relieved for us but I have to admit, I have been disappointed with our past two performances.”
