WORCESTER Wolves have signed Dean Wanliss ahead of tonight's British Basketball League opener.
Wanliss arrives from Leeds Force, who left the BBL at the end of last season, after averaging 9.8 points per game.
The 29-year-old will strengthen the squad while Wolves wait for their final two imports.
The British forward will bring BBL experience to the squad after time at Manchester Giants and Leicester Riders while he was at Loughborough University.
Wanliss spent his college career at Iowa State Community college and has spent much of his playing career at NBL Division One side Barking Abbey.
He said: “I am looking forward to the season.
"It has been such a fast process and I had my first training session as soon as I got here but I am looking forward to what is to come and what coach has set out for us to achieve.”
Wanliss will be available to face Plymouth Raiders at the University of Worcester Arena tonight (7.30pm) in new head coach Ty Shaw's first competitive game in charge.
