GORNAL Athletic's players were put through their paces during a special coaching session led by Birmingham City's assistant manager Pep Clotet.
The Spaniard held a two-hour coaching masterclass at Garden Walk on Thursday night alongside Blues' head of analysis Ryan Needs.
The opportunity came about after Gornal boss Lee Wood helped get Clotet tickets to see Iron Maiden after the rockers played a friendly at Garden Walk last month. The assistant at St Andrew's returning the favour by coaching the Peacocks.
Gornal boss Wood said: "The lads really enjoyed it and listened well to what they were being told and put it into practise.
"The chaps Pep brought with him were really good too. It was top level all the way through and the session we did was a session the first team did last week.
"It was a nice experience and something that you just don't see at this level.
"It was refreshing to see coaches in the top flight giving something back."
