TABLE toppers Tividale returned to winning ways - but made hard work of beating Shropshire side Shawbury United.

Although Reece Shilvock fired the leaders into a fifth minute lead, Shawbury struck back to lead 2-1 at one stage thanks to a couple of goals from former Stourbridge player Sean Evans.

Tivi hit back to take a decisive 4-2 lead with Darragh Bustin, Jamal Fuller and Alex Cameron all on target.

But Shawbury refused to lie down and fired in a third goal through substitute James Blenkinsop, to set up a nervous finish.

Tivi's lead at the top now stretches to 12 points after second placed Wolves Casuals were held to a 2-2 draw at home to Bewdley Town.

As a result, Shrewsbury side Haughmond have climbed above Casuals after crushing Cradley Town 7-0.

Without their playmaker Kieran Day, Cradley showed little going forward and conceded an early goal scored by Kevin Renshaw.

From that point, Cradley held their own in determined fashion and forced Haughmond goalkeeper Sam Jones into making fine saves to keep out goalbound headers from both Mark Bennett and Josh Clift.

Adam Garmson then had a goal ruled out for offside and it wasn't until the 60th minute that Haughmond added a second goal through Scott Ryan.

Cradley goalkeeper Ben Manley did his best to keep Haughmond at bay, but a third goal from substitute Christain Oldman on 72 minutes effectively pierced Cradley's resistance.

Ryan went onto complete his hat-trick, Oldman added his second while substitute Jamie Balderston netted another as Haughmond ran riot in the closing stages.

Defiant Dudley Sports remain in relegation danger after losing out 2-0 at fourth placed Malvern Town.

Dogged defending coupled with an outstanding goalkeeping display from Ryan Pratt, kept Malvern at bay until the 76th minute when Harry Clark converted.

Malvern managed a second goal deep into stoppage time through Adam Sauntson.

Sports entertain Shawbury this Saturday while Dudley Town travel to Bridgnorth.

Fifth placed Black Country Rangers attempt to get back on track when they host Malvern at Gornal Athletic's Garden Walk ground.
