MANAGER Rob Smith has challenged his Halesowen Town team to follow up their key victory over Royston.

The Yeltz won 1-0 at the Grove thanks to a 85th minute header from defender Kieran Morris.

Smith said: “I don’t think it’s anything less than what we deserved. We had a lot of chances in the second half and I thought we really took the game to them and I thought we deserved to win the game.

“We’ve been deserving more in recent weeks but not getting it. Today it finally turned and we got what we deserved but we beat Banbury and didn’t follow it up with any more wins, so we need to go on a run now.

“That’s three unbeaten and we’ve got two tough away games and we’ve got to come away with something.

“We’ve dragged some other teams in with us and if we had lost today we might have been in a serious position. It’s all good, all positive now.” On match-winner Morris, the boss added: “He’s been a man mountain since we’ve come here. He’s really impressed us with his attitude and I thought he was outstanding today. It was fitting that he got the winner really.”
