LYE Town manager Andy Wyton has made peace with former striker Geoff Hill and brought him back to Stourbridge Road.

The pair fell out early in the season with Hill departing to play for Gornal Athletic.

Hill had previously played for Wyton at Dudley Town, Cradley Town and Gornal

Wyton revealed: “I bumped into Geoff over the weekend and we sorted things out. I asked him to come back to Lye for the remainder of the season and he agreed.

“He should be playing at a higher level in any event.

“He’s kept himself fit and will always score goals. If he’s anywhere near his best, he’ll be an asset for Lye Town”.

Wyton intends to partner Hill up front with another recent recruit Nicky Turton who has arrived at Stourbridge Road from Sporting Khalsa and made his debut in the defeat to South Normanton.

Both were expected to feature in a friendly fixture with Alvechurch this week ahead of Saturday’s clash with local rivals Stourport Swifts.

Wyton added: “It’s an important game because we’re neck and neck in the Total Motion Midland League Premier Division."
