SIX-hitters Trysull Tigers are showing no sign of easing up in their push for first season honours on the Beacon Sunday league front.

Seven days on from reaching The Sports Shop Kingswinford Clinton Cup final the Tigers continued to impress in the Paycare Development Division cracking six goals against visiting Penn Rovers, writes Dave McLean.

Third place Tigers warmed up for this weekend's top league clash at home to leaders and title favourites Bloxwich Rangers U21s with three goals either side of the interval.

A Tom Hudson brace led the charge for the Tigers and he received good support from the other four goalscorers, Aaron Bolton, Will Spruce, Steve Rickhuss and Jack Pitchford.

Whereas Trysull have three league games remaining going into the weekend, Bloxwich only require a draw against the Tigers to clinch the crown.

Staying with the Paycare Development section and FC Premier U21s kept alive their hopes of a top two finish, running out 6-4 winners in a thrilling clash at Coseley based AFC Springfield.

Lowly Springfield twice held an advantage only to be pegged back and finish the first half on level terms after a memorable six goal blast.

Just after the restart visiting FC Premier moved ahead for the first time in the match before a fourth Springfield goal made it 4-4.

In the end though it was FC Premier who collected maximum points with two further goals to stay fourth.

Keeping things close were the Springfield quartet of Dan Reynolds, Ethan Smith, Jordan Norris and John Cater.

A top four spot is the target for Sedgley and Gornal United as they ran out 6-2 victors at Shere Punjab Wolves.

S and G's clinical finishing proved decisive, whereas the Shere forwards had a nightmare afternoon wasting a hatful opportunities.

After moving 2-0 to the good at half time, United never looked back and made it six of the best in the second period through Jack Kelly (three), Tom Timmins two and Ashley Walker. Responding were Anil Patel and Jas Bhandal.

In the Inaugural Cater Invitation Trophy, there were narrow 1-0 victories for Dudley Rangers United and Cannock United over AFC Sporting Gornal and Beacon Lions (Coseley) respectively.
