STOURBRIDGE are facing a fight to hold on to winger Chay Tilt after an approach from Solihull Moors.

Tilt has caught the eye for the Glassboys this season after breaking into the team and netting three goals in his last five games.

The livewire attacker was also key as Stour came back against Whitby on Monday night as they booked their place in the first round of the FA Cup.

Tilt has been offered a contract to stay at the War Memorial Ground but that remains unsigned and now Moors have swooped in with a seven-day approach.

Glassboys boss Ian Long is still hopeful Tilt, a nephew of Blackpool’s former Yeltz defender Curtis, will stay and continue his development at Amblecote.

He said: “We've had a good chat to him because we have had an approach from Solihull.

"He's got good pedigree and was at QPR and has done well since he came in.

"He's a crowd-pleaser, gets people off their seats and is enjoying his football here, so long may that continue.

"He's playing regularly, he's enjoying his football and I'm really hopeful we can keep him, but we'll have to see."
