NEIL Shillingford was pleased with how his Dudley Kingswinford side overcame selection disruption to win at Lichfield.

DK bagged a 31-28 away victory last Saturday as they kept the heat on Midlands One West's top two.

The Heathbrook chief was already without the absent Stef Shillingford before seeing more options fall by the way side after training last Thursday.

However, DK still handed Lichfield their third defeat of the campaign with a bonus-point success.

Shillingford said: "We had to make a few changes because of absence and injury, so went through Plan B, C and D.

"It was a tough encounters, as we expected it would be, but the lads got the job done.

"It was all about putting pressure on their chunky pack and making them work a little bit, which I think we did well.

"We then managed the game really well at the end as well.

"To get the bonus-point win away from home with all the disruptions we had, you have to be pleased with that."

DK now face Ludlow at home this Saturday. Kieran Williams is available again but centre Stef Shillingford remains absent.
