Stourport Men’s 2nd XI 7-0 Burton Men's 2nd XI Stourport Men's 2nd XI solidified a top-half finish in the Midlands Men's Division 4 West, with a 7-0 victory against visitors Burton 2nd XI.
Two drag flicks from short corners by Adam Leeke opened the scoring for the home side. This was added to before the break with a back post conversion from Paul Rhodes after Ollie* on his debut set up the move.
Stourport kept up the pressure on Burton, after the break with when Jack Downie added a fourth before Charlie Adam added a fifth.
Both the sixth and seventh came from set-pieces and showed Stourport's ingenuity, the sixth from a short corner was converted by Evan Stokes after a quick passing routine. The seventh was a solo effort from Dan* who was unmarked after a free hit on the edge of the 'D'.
