AFC Bloxwich ended their Beacon Sunday league campaign on a winning note but narrowly missed out on a top two finish.
With the Paycare Development Division title having gone to clear winners Sedgley Rangers, a superior goal difference gave Cater Cup victors Brandhall Colts second spot over Bloxwich despite their last match 3-2 triumph over fourth place Gornal Rangers, writes Dave McLean.
The last match hero for Bloxwich was three goal Jamie Archer who put his side 3-1 ahead at the break. The Rangers replies came from Jae Fitzpatrick and Jake Penn.
Midweek had seen Blades FC finish a well earned second place in the top tier Concentric Sales & Lettings Championship, just a point down on champions Claregate Park Rangers. Third spot went to CTS United.
