Tividale 3, Coalville 0

THREE late goals saw newly-promoted Tividale beat Coalville Town in their first home game of the new season.

Tivi made sure of the perfect start to life in Division One of the Northern Premier League as they took three points from last season's runners up.

The win follows last weekend's 3-1 away win over Lincoln United during the campaign's curtain-raiser.

Against Coalville, the contest stayed goalless until the 85th minute.

Tividale hit the front when Matt Jukes hit a stunning strike.

It mean Coalville had to push forward in search of an equaliser.

As the game reached the 90th minute mark, Tividale hit a second.

This time Tividale substitute Leigh Downing was brought down in the area. He got up to slam the ball home.

However, Tivi were not finished there, and deep into injury time Jukes hit his second to make it a memorable night at The Beeches.

They will now take on Sheffield at home on Saturday (3pm kick off).
