Goals from Zain Westbrooke and James Daly helped Yeovil claim a 2-1 win at Hornchurch in the National League.

The Glovers went close to opening the scoring before the break when Brett McGavin forced a good save from Arthur Nasta after being played in by Johl Powell’s backheel.

The visitors broke the deadlock in the 72nd minute when Westbrooke fired home his first goal for the club after a Joe Gubbins cross was diverted into his path.

Daly doubled Yeovil’s lead six minutes later, just moments after coming off the bench, and the visitors held on despite Charlie Pegrum pulling one back after first seeing an effort tipped on to a post.
