STOURBRIDGE'S young guns have been crowned champions in the Midland Floodlit Youth League Premier Division South.
The Glassboys' youth team dished out an excellent performance to beat Kidderminster Harriers 6-1 to clinch the title at Handrahan Stadium, Wall Heath, on Monday night.
Stour broke the deadlock when goalkeeper Tom Lubke played it out to Lee Pritchard, he played it down the right to Josh Morgan-Parker and his low cross was met at the far post by Josh Garbett.
Garbett doubled the score two minutes later with a fine 25-yard free-kick. Morgan-Parker then headed in at the far post to give Stourbridge a 3-0 half time lead.
Stour came out for the second period and continued where they had left off. Jordan Murphy hit a second half hat-trick before Harriers got a consolation goal in the 88th minute.
Jordan Murphy scored his seventh hat-trick of the season. He is now just two away from breaking Craig Tibbetts record for goals in a season.
The team is still in the hunt for more success in the Worcestershire County Cup.
Coach Dave King celebrated his third league title in six years, which have also included two runners-up medals, a third place finish and five cup successes during his period at the club.
