DUDLEY Kingswinford suffered another defeat in their disastrous National League Division Two North season when crashing to a comprehensive 43-17 reverse at home to Caldy.

It leaves the DK’s anchored to the bottom of the table without a win to their name from 11 outings.

Yet the game began brightly for DK’s when winger Donovan Smile stormed over for a fourth minute try which Kieran Pinches converted.

But prospects of a first win were soon shattered as Caldy ran in four tries within the space of eight minutes.

Caldy’s Gavin Roberts crossed in the 17th minutes before full back Jo Dickinson added a second just two minutes later.

Inside centre Dom Kohler added a third try on 23 minutes before scrum-half Alec Smith made it four only 60 seconds later.

Fly half Richard Vasey converted three tries.

The DKs regrouped and flanker Danny Hawkins crossed for a second try which Pinches converted before kicking a penalty on the stroke of half time to make the score 26-17.

But after giving themselves a glimmer of hope, DK’s were caught napping within five minutes of the resumption as Caldy produced a quick tap-penalty which enabled Kohler to score his second try near the posts which Vasey converted.

Dk’s then had Tom May yellow carded and while down to 14 Ben Evans crossed for a sixth Caldy try which Vasey improved upon before landing a penalty to end the scoring.
